Surely, the security of your critical information has always been a major concern. Fortunately, there are software programs like idoo File Encryption that provides you with several methods to prevent or limit access to your files, folders, and/or drives by any unauthorized person.
As soon as the program starts the installation process, it asks you to set a master password and, optionally, an e-mail address (whose aim is to help you recover your password in case your forget it). Later, every time you want to run the program, you will be requested to type that password, so that you can be completely sure that you are the only person managing your file system's security.
The program's interface is very nice, and it offers you four different ways to protect your information that can be applied to individual files, folders, and to entire drives. The first method is "Hide Data", which makes your files or folders disappear completely, so that nobody will be able to even see them. The second one, "Lock Data", allows people to see your files and folders, buy they will not be able to open or access them to see their content. The "Write-Protected" method, on the other hand, allows anybody to see the content of your files, but not to modify or delete them. When using any of these three methods, you are allowed to add and select one or more of your files, directories, and drives; then, you can click on either the "Protect files" or the "Unprotect files" button for the desired action.
